Angus Houston TEP
Managing Director and Will adviser
I made the decision to retrain as a Trust and Estate Practitioner and set up Pavilion Row in 2008 as a result of personal experience. I felt that this was an area that could be done so much better.
Dealing with Wills and probate are both areas where it is important to have knowledge, as well as sensitivity and the ability to work with people at a personal level.
Only by knowing the right questions to ask and understanding the importance of the answers can we be sure that we give the correct advice for what our clients need and want. For this reason, the company was founded on the basis that all our advisers are qualified to the highest level through the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
I have over 10 years experience in private client law, with my main focus being Wills and Powers of Attorney. I am an active member of STEP, serving as Chairman of the Yorkshire region for 3 years and now sit on the STEP Worldwide Branch Development Committee as the representative for England and Wales. My role as Chairman involved the development of the Yorkshire branch and the CPD programme for its members. I have also worked closely with STEP to help raise the standards in the industry, which saw the introduction of a high-level Will Advice qualification.
My business only exists because of our clients and I expect to deliver the same high standards of service and clarity that I would want for me and my family.
